Council Report- April

The meeting was called to order by Council President, Steve Tassaro.

The resignation of Kate Dewey was accepted and new appointee, Barb Becker, was sworn in by Mayor, Jim Stover.

Council convened for an immediate Executive Session @ 7:06 p.m. for approximately a half hour.

Prior meeting minutes were approved.

Resident inquired about sidewalk codes and clearance. Ordinance 158 was discussed. Ordinance to adjust sewage surcharge-Ordinance 401 was approved. Mayor’s Report: Eight incidents regarding police watching for trucks- none were reported.Budget and Finance Committee: There is a discrepancy regarding a Quick Boks adjustment that is being investigated by the current treasurer.

Community Center Committee: Barb Becker was appointed to be the Council Representative.

Personnel Committee: Six candidates were interviewed for an employee replacement and one individual was hired pending background clearances.  Lee and Charlie will be interviewing Pool Guards on May 9, 2019.

The Borough Dumpster is to be used by the Borough Employees ONLY. Residents are not permitted to use the dumpster for their personal use. “No Dumping” notifications were discussed at public park areas.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
