Council Report- December

The December meeting was called to order with recognition of Sam Maccarone who has been RF Council Secretary/Treasurer from 1984-2018. A new tree was planted in Sam’s honor and a plaque will be placed near it in the Spring.

The council approved the previous minutes and the month’s bills. The 2019 budget was approved with no millage increase to residents.

Financial Report: Balance at the beginning of the month was $862,398. Income was $70,000. Expenses were $442,000 (mainly due to street paving) Council will gift Scott Police Staff $25 for Christmas.

Resident Input: RFCC- with Sylvia Bergstedt leaving the Farms in January 2019, Andrea Harkins recommended Penny Jones to replace her. Motion approved.

Signage has been delivered for restrictions (weight/length) traffic through the borough and is being installed. Thanks was given to Bob Nixon who has been providing pattern information. Scott police have been notified of the limits.

Discussion was held regards to developing a general fee schedule for lein letter, dye testing, etc. A subcommittee will be reviewing other concepts.
