Citizens forum

A resident appeared before council to discuss the existing zoning ordinance for short term rentals in the boro. The solicitor stated that short term rentals cannot be prohibited but they can be limited to certain areas and conditional uses. Council will look at the existing ordinance and make a recommendation.

The Secretary Treasurer reported that overall income projections are on track in spite of come decreases income of the earned income tax.

The community Center has been receiving reservations for the Calvert room and are following the recommended procedures for cleaning post rental. Tree removal work in Parrish Park has been completed as have the boro’s portion of repairs to the tennis court. The next phase will be the contracted resurfacing.

A motion was approved to allocate money to Gibson Thompson Engineers for traffic calming measures for Pilgrim Road in response to the recurring damage to residents vehicle’s.
