This month Scott Township Police assisted Robinson EMS on a call in the industrial park, aided Crafton VFD on a residential smoke alarm call, and responded to downed Verizon lines which were hanging low and thus struck by a Waste Management garbage truck. They were notified by a visitor to Rosslyn Farms that the person’s spouse had a PFA against them and they wanted the police to know in case there was any trouble. One resident called the police on several occasions and was finally convinced by the police that they should commit themselves to a hospital for treatment. In another case, Police were called to one residence for an unknown problem. Upon arrival they found the intoxicated couple having a loud verbal argument. Their investigation showed that both individuals had been physically harmed by the other and as a result both residents were arrested for simple assault, harassment domestic violence. Both were transported to the Scott Township Police station and then to the Allegheny County Jail.
