March Police Activity Report

Fortunately, March was a relatively slow month for complaints to the Scott Twp. Police Department. Once complaint involved a “No Parking” sign that was hit by a car and knocked over on Kings Highway. Another resident called police to complain about an opossum that was attempting to get to their bird feeder. Scott officers also assisted Robinson EMS with a residential medical call and also handled a complaint about a phone scam where the other caller tried to have the resident pay to have their computer fixed. A false burglar alarm was also responded to in the Industrial Park area of the borough. Scott police made a concerted effort in March to enforce the new ordinance against combination trucks. In addition to normal patrolling, nine separate traffic details were conducted. No trucks were spotted violating the ordinance. Finally, as the summer approaches, please remember to lock your cars and houses so that Rosslyn Farms continues to be one of the safest communities in Allegheny County.
