November Police Activity Report

Scott police responded to the normal assortment of calls in November, i.e. two EMS assists, two false fire alarm assists, and two sick raccoon calls. There was one motor vehicle accident and a parking complaint in which the officer found the vehicle to be legally parked. There was also a domestic dispute that turned into a defiant trespass situation where the individual was arrested at gunpoint. This presents a “teachable moment” for some residents and especially our children. A police officer responding to a call may have no idea of who you are or what you are doing. You may think everything is fine but until the officer can evaluate the situation, listen to all commands. Even if you think that you are being treated unfairly by an officer, follow all commands until the situation ends. You can complain when both you and the officer are safe. Happy New Year!
